The Samsung Galaxy A series might not be the flagship series of smartphones, however, it is one of the most successful series for the company. According to a report by GSMArena both the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) and A7 (2018) could feature Bluetooth 5.0. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus were the first smartphones from the company to feature Bluetooth 5.0 followed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Both the Samsung Galaxy A 5 and A7 (2018) are likely to be powered by the Exynos 7885 chipset, which recently got certified by Bluetooth SIG. The listing on Bluetooth SIG reveals that the new chipset offers support for Bluetooth 5.0.

Bluetooth 5.0 comes with various improvements to its functionalities in comparison to its predecessor. Bluetooth 5.0 is much more equipped to handle IoT devices and connected home devices. It also lets smartphones connect to multiple devices such as wearables, speakers, headphones, cars, and much more. Therefore if the report is true, then both the Galaxy A5 (2018) and A7 (2018) will have much better Bluetooth connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) recently showed up on Geekbench. The listing showed that the device would be powered by the Exynos 7885 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The listing also revealed that the device will come running on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

Previously, it had been reported that the Galaxy A5 (2018) could launch in two variants. One variant will be exclusive to China and as per the reports will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. On the other hand, the second variant will be available across the globe and could be powered by an Exynos 7885 processor. As per the reports, it would come with 4GB of RAM and would be running on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
