Reliance Jio is aiming to complete all the deliveries of the JioPhone by Diwali. The company’s official Twitter account (@RelianceJioCare) responded to a tweet that a user had sent to them enquiring about the status of delivery of the device. They responded stating that the customers who had pre-booked the device will be getting the device by October 19 which is Diwali.
“Thanks for reaching out, We have started the delivery of JioPhone in a phased manner to avoid inconvenience to our customers. Please be assured that all customers who have done the pre-booking of the device will receive it by Diwali,”
Jio Care tweeted from its official Twitter handle.
Reliance Jio previously said that they had begun the delivery of the devices on September 24 and that they plan to finish the process within 15 days. PTI reported, that the deliveries will first be made in rural areas and small towns after which the urban cities will follow.
“We will send you an SMS informing about the store address and pickup date as soon as it is ready for delivery. The delivery status of your JioPhone order will soon be available on 1800 890 8900,”
Jio Care added.
The JioPhone is currently priced at Rs. 1,500 which is fully refundable after a period of three years when the users return the device. As of now, the pre-bookings are suspended for the device, and Reliance Jio plans to open them up soon. For the users who have already booked the JioPhone can track the delivery status in the MyJio app. Additionally, the users can also dial 18008908900 to check the order details.
