Airtel just launched a new myPlan Infinity plan to counter Reliance Jio. The new Airtel plan costs Rs 999 and offers 50GB of data and unlimited calling to postpaid users. It should be worth noted that Airtel Rs 999 postpaid plan is applicable for both new and existing users. Subscribing to the plan get users unlimited local and STD calls in addition to unlimited incoming and outgoing roaming calls. Airtel postpaid subscribers will also benefit from complete data rollover. Meaning, in case users don’t consume the data at all, the same amount of data will be carried over to the next cycle. There’s no limit on the daily data consumption, though.
How does it compare with existing Reliance Jio Rs 999 postpaid plan?
Reliance Jio Rs 999 postpaid comes with the similar validity of 60 days. It offers free unlimited calling (both local and STD) in order to connect with any operator. Furthermore, users get unlimited data, out of which 90GB data is limited to 4G. Once the limit exceeds, speed will come down to 128 kbps. Last but not least, it offers free unlimited SMSes and unrestricted access to Jio apps, which is common across all Jio postpaid plans.
In other news, Airtel recently partnered Karbonn Mobiles to compete with the likes of Reliance JioPhone. Airtel has been offering a lot of new plans for both prepaid and postpaid users these days. Previously, we put both Airtel Rs 999 and Jio Rs 999 prepaid plans side by side to know how they compare with each other. Reliance Jio, on the other hands, just announced new Diwali offers for Jio subscribers.
