    • The JioPhone comes with an effective cost of Rs 0
    • The first phase of registrations started back on August 24
    • Reliance Retail seems to have reopened the JioPhone bookings

It seems Reliance Retail has resumed the booking process for the JioPhone. People have been queuing up for the bookings to open up again so that they can get their own JioPhone. However, this time the booking seems to be open only for people who expressed interest in purchasing the smart feature phone. Reliance Jio has started to send out messages to potential customers who had registered their interest in purchasing the phone back in July. This is the message the company is sending to potential buyers, “Interested buyers can click on the link or make a call to the number displayed in the message.”

The company claims that back in July, around 10 million people had shown interest in purchasing the JioPhone. Now, the company seems to be reaching out to all of them.

NDTV was able to get hold of a Reliance Jio partner, he told them,
“A link will be sent to people who are again showing interest to make payment of Rs. 500 on the authorized channel. Once they make [the] payment, they will be informed about the date when JioPhone will be delivered to them.”
