Airtel has come up with a new offer as part of which users are now eligible to get Rs 349 plan absolutely free. But there’s a catch. The offer is limited to Airtel prepaid customers. Customers will first need to pay for the plan using Airtel Payments Bank. The company has made it clear that Airtel Rs 349 plan users will receive Rs 50 cashback on the first recharge followed by cashback of Rs 50 each on next 6 recharges.
Interestingly, Airtel cashback offer is similar to Reliance Jio Diwali offer wherein the company offered 100% cashback on Rs 399 plan. Jio Rs 399 plan comes with the validity of 70 days and offers unlimited voice calls (local, STD, roaming) to all operators. It bundles 70GB of 4G data with the FUP of 1GB data per day. The speed is further reduced to 64 kbps upon hitting the FUP.
In the case of Airtel Rs 349 plan, it is not clear when the offer will end. Airtel plan comes with the validity of 28 days, unlike Jio. Since it offers 28GB of 4G data, users benefit from 1GB of data per day. In addition to this, customers also receive 1,000 minutes of voice calls for 7 days without having to pay anything extra. Onwards, customers will be charged 10 paisa per minute for on-net calls (Airtel to Airtel) and 30 paisa per minute for off-net calls (Airtel to any operator).
In other news, new Reliance JioPhone rival could be in works at Airtel in association with Lava. Airtel has reportedly partnered a domestic handset maker Lava to produce affordable 4G smartphones.
