Panasonic today launched a new budget smartphone, the Panasonic P9, adding another member to the ‘P Series’ in India. The phone is priced at Rs. 6290 and comes with 4G VoLTE support.
The Panasonic P9 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 resolution) display with Asahi Dragon Trail glass protection on top. The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor clocked at 1.1GHz and paired with Mali-T720 GPU. It carries 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded only to just 32GB using microSD card.
On the software front, the P9 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. As far as the optics are concerned, the handset offers an 8-megapixel rear sensor f/2.0 aperture, LED flash support. Up front, it has a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The Panasonic P9 comes with a battery backup of 2210mAh. Connectivity options on the phone include- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, GPS, FM Radio and 3.5mm headphone jack. The P9 measures 144.5×72.95×8.6mm and weighs around 144 grams.
The all new Panasonic handset comes in two colour options- Champagne Gold and Black. As for the availability, the Panasonic P9 is available for purchase through Panasonic brand shops and retail outlets across the country.
