Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ has been announced in India. Available in Gold, Rose Gold, Grey colour options, the device starts at Rs 7,190. Last week, the company announced a couple of new handsets in their Eluga lineup: the Panasonic Eluga A3 and Eluga A3 Pro.
Specs-wise, the Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ has a 5-inch (12.7 cm) IPS HD display on the front featuring 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution and Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection. Internally, the phone gets its grunts thanks to MediaTek MT6737 quad-core SoC ticking at 1.25GHz and coupled with Mali-T720 GPU for graphics and 16GB of expandable storage (up to 128GB). The device comes with two memory options: 1GB and 2GB of RAM.
As for photography, the Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ houses an 8-megapixel primary rear shooter and a 5-megapixel secondary shooter up front for selfies and video calls. The device packs a 2,200mAh battery. The dual-SIM phone offers a hybrid slot for storage expansion and runs Android 7.0 Nougat-based software out-of-the-box.
In terms of the design, the Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ flaunts a metal unibody measuring 143 x 71.2 x 7.95mm and weighing 133g. The antenna lines run through the rear with plastic caps at both the top as well as the bottom. On the connectivity front, it supports 2G, 3G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM, and microUSB 2.0.
Despite starting at Rs 7,190, the phone lacks a fingerprint scanner, which is a bummer, especially given that phones like Coolpad Note 5 Lite and Xiaomi Redmi 4 offer fingerprint scanner for the price of Rs 6,999. The set of sensors includes an accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light.
