The Chinese handset maker, Oppo is preparing to launch a new smartphone next month. According to a post shared in Weibo by the company, the Oppo R11s, successor to the R11 will be announced at an event China on November 2. The post includes an image of the device, confirming that it will feature dual camera setup at the back. One can also see a circular fingerprint sensor embedded on the rear panel below the dual camera.
Besides the teaser image, it has an AnTuTu benchmark listing as well that reveals the specification sheet of the upcoming Oppo handset. As per the listing, the Oppo R11s will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest mobile platform, Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with Adreno 512 for graphics. The device will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and offer 4GB of RAM. Internal storage is seen at 64GB. The listing further shows that it will flaunt a dual rear camera array having 20-megapixel sensor each.
Rumour mill meanwhile suggest that the R11s will sport a 6-inch full HD+ (1080×2160 pixel resolution)display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is tipped to pack a 3205mAh battery and come with VOOC Flash Charging support. The R11s is expected to carry a 20-megapixel sensor up front. The hybrid dual-SIM handset is said to come with 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS.
Reports speculate a bigger variant, the Oppo R11s Plus might also be unveiled alongside. The phone is said to pack 6GB of RAM and a massive 4000mAh battery. Notably, Oppo is gearing up to launch a new smartphone, the Oppo F5 in India on the same date, November 2. The phone is expected to feature thin bezel, full HD+ 18:9 display
