The Chinese handset maker Oppo launched its dual camera smartphone, Oppo R11 in June this year in China. The smartphone is yet hit select global markets however consumers in India might not have wait long. Tech publication Digit citing ‘insider info’ said that the new Oppo R11 might mark its way in India soon. The handset was launched in its home market at a price of Yuan 3233 (around Rs. 29,702).
In terms of specifications, the R11 features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080x1920resoultion pixels. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest mobile platform, Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. Internal storage is at 64GB which can be further expanded upto 256GB via microSD card. The Oppo R11 flaunts dual rear camera array, having a 20-megapixel primary sensor with a telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angles. The dual rear cameras also come with support for 2X optical zoom. Up front, it features a 20-megapixel sensor with a f/2.0 aperture.
The Oppo R11 packs a 3000mAh non-removable battery and supports VOOC Flash Charge. Design-wise the phone boasts a metal body with fine antenna lines running along the curvature. It offers mono speaker grills drilled at the base with USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack placed alongside. The power button and SIM/SDcard tray located on the right side while the volume keys sit at the left edge of the device. The fingerprint sensor is embedded on the home button itself. A notable feature on the new Oppo handset is its capability to support VoLTE on both SIM cards. On the software front, the phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat with company proprietary skin ColorOS 3.1 on top.
In a separate report, Oppo is said to release a limited edition of the Oppo R11 to mark the anniversary of Arena of Valor, a mobile game published by Chinese internet giant Tencent. The limited edition variant is tipped to carry an 18-carat gold badge at its back designed after the logo of the game and the company’s branding might also be plated with gold. Other specifications of the limited edition likely remains to be the same as the generic version. Reports suggest that the Oppo R11 Limited Edition might release in China starting September 29 at a price of 4000 Yuan (roughly Rs. 39,500).
