Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo launches Oppo F5 Youth in Philippines for PHP 13,990 (roughly Rs. 17,900). It’s a toned down version of Oppo F5. If you recall, Oppo launched Oppo F5 with minimal bezels in India earlier this month for Rs 19,990. Oppo F5 Youth is expected in India this month. Oppo F5 Youth primarily differs from its elder sibling in terms of camera experience.
The all-new Oppo F5 Youth gets a 16MP front-facing camera instead of 20MP camera sensor found on the Oppo F5. It also has a 13-megapixel rear camera with the f/2.2 aperture as opposed to a 16MP primary sensor with f/2.0 on Oppo F5.
Oppo F5 Youth edition retains the F5’s minimal bezel elongated 6-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6737 (Helio P23) processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The onboard storage on the phone is at 32GB, which can be further be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card. The dual-SIM Oppo F5 Youth has a dedicated microSD slot. Meaning, you can insert two SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time.

The phone has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and packs a 3200mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, micro-USB with USB OTG and 3.5mm audio jack. The set of sensors include proximity sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor.
