Oppo the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is holding an event today in Mumbai, where it will be launching the selfie-centric Oppo F5 smartphone. The company will be live streaming the launch event today at 12 PM on the company’s official website, its social media pages, official YouTube channel, and the Flipkart product page. Additionally, the smartphone will be a Flipkart exclusive device. The smartphone was launched in the Philippines last month, due to which we know all the specifications of the device beforehand. The Oppo F5 4GB RAM variant was launched in the Philippines for PHP 15,990, which when converted to INR is roughly Rs. 20,000.  However, the 6GB RAM variants price hasn’t been disclosed.

As for the specifications, the Oppo F5 sports a 6-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6763T processor coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM. It comes in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB, both have expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card. It will come running on Google’s Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with the company’s own ColorOS 3.2 on top. All of this is backed by a 3,200mAh battery.

As for the camera, the Oppo F5 comes with a 16-megapixel primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. On the front, it features a 20-megapixel selfie camera with a f/2.0 aperture along with AI beautification features.
