The Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo has quietly launched a smartphone under it’s A series, the Oppo A71. The phone is listed on the company’s Pakistan and Malaysia website.
The new Oppo handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU for graphics. The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and offers 16GB native storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
In terms of display, the Oppo A71 features a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 resolution) TFT LCD screen. The device runs Android 7.1 Nougat with company’s own Color OS 3.1 skin layered on top.
The phone boasts a sleek metal unibody design and utilises nano silver technology to strengthen the gloss of the metal. It carries lustre edge that is designed for slimness and the edge line connects all the buttons and interfaces. Talking about the placement of buttons, the volume keys sit on the left edge while the power button and microSD/SIM tray is located on the right side of the device. At the back, you have the Oppo branding at the centre. The primary camera is placed on the left edge along with the LED flash module.
As for the camera, the Oppo A71 feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture while at the front it has a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. The phone packs a battery capacity of 3000mAh. Connectivity options on the phone include- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, dual Nano-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, Micro-USB port for charging and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Oppo A71 measures 148.1mm x 73.8mm x 7.6mm and weighs around 137 grams. The phone is available in two colour options- Gold and Black. As far as the pricing is concerned, it retails a price of RM 858.00 in Malaysia which translates to around Rs. 13,000. The device is currently available for purchase in Malaysia, however Oppo has not shared any word on whether it will be launched in India as yet.
