Oppo on Friday announced that it will be launching the selfie-focused smartphone Oppo A57 in India on February 3. The smartphone was first launched in China in November last year. The Chinese smartphone maker tweeted the launch date on its official Oppo India account, quoting, “The all new #OPPOA57 is hitting the markets on the 3rd of February.”
Oppo A57 sports a ‘selfie-focused’ front camera that carries a 16-megapixel sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera comes with 13-megapixel camera module with f/2.2 aperture along with flash and phase detection auto focus (PDAF). This is a dual-SIM smartphone.

The Oppo A57 in China features a 5.2-inch HD LCD display (1280×720 pixel resolution) with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone packs 3GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The fingerprint sensor is on the home button.
The phone runs on Android Marshmallow 6 with Color 3.0 OS layered on top of it. It has a battery backup of 2,900 mAh. Connectivity options include-4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, GPRS/EDGE, USB and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone measures 149.1 x 72.9 x 7.65 mm and weighs 147 grams.
Oppo A57 which is available in two colour variants- Rose Gold and Gold is priced at 1,599 Yuan (around Rs 16,000) in China.
