OnePlus has started rolling out the second Android 8.0 Oreo open beta build for the OnePlus 5. This update brings along several tweaks, fixes and feature improvements to the smartphone. Users who are already on the first open beta will soon be receiving a notification to update the operating system over the air (OTA). But users on the stable build will have to download it and flash it to their smartphone.
The update includes fixes for the Launcher, camera app, file manager and many other system improvements. It also includes the November Android Security Patch. The total size of the update is 1.52GB. Below is the full changelog for the Android 8.0 Oreo Open Beta 2 update for the OnePlus 5:
Be a little cautious if you decide to flash this ROM on to your smartphone, as it is currently in Beta, due to which it might have a few stability issues as compared to an official update that will be released next month.
It is being reported that the stable Android 8.0 Oreo update for the OnePlus 5 will arrive in early January 2018. Interestingly, the OnePlus 5 might receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update before the OnePlus 5T, their current flagship smartphone.
