A few OnePlus 5 owners have been experiencing a jelly effect on the screen while scrolling. Jelly effect while scrolling is when you’re scrolling through some content and it is taking a little time to load, the phone will give you a stretch illusion. Initially when reports started coming in XDA Developers contacted OnePlus for a statement on the issue.
“The OnePlus 5 uses the same level of high-quality components as all OnePlus devices, including the AMOLED display. We’ve received feedback from a small number of users saying that at times they notice a subtle visual effect when scrolling. This is natural and there’s no variance in screens between devices,”
This means that OnePlus is saying that they only use high-quality components and if you are facing such problems it is just a visual effect and not a problem. The company also said that due to this not being a problem the customer care will not be able to help you.
The report also mentions that OnePlus has stressed that the Jelly Effect issue is not a QA or Manufacturing defect.
OnePlus had launched the OnePlus 5 over a week ago and has seen tremendous response from the public. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD AMOLED display, it comes in two variants – 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB. The phone is being powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with dash charge capability which gives you a full charge within 95 minutes.
