With OnePlus signing India’s prominent Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan as the brand ambassador earlier this week, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has now put up a contest for its India users. The company today announced the ‘Best Smartphone Contest’ wherein a user will get a chance to win Rs. 1 crore. The contest comes as a manifestation to celebrate the company’s flagship OnePlus 3T success in the country.

“At OnePlus, we continuously strive to deliver the best-in-class products and experiences to our fans. Our community has played a pivotal role in our journey and made OnePlus 3T the highest rated smartphone in India. The Best Smartphone Contest aims to recognize and reward the OnePlus community in a very personalised and engaging way,” Vikas Agarwal, General Manager – OnePlus India, said.

To participate in the contest, a user can register on OnePlus Store online. The user can give a missed call as well to 8505-888-888. OnePlus has launched a TVC for the contest and notably the viewers are required to give a missed call to enter the contest and play the final round with Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from the contest OnePlus has also offered a complimentary phone cover case worth Rs. 899 free of charge to the customers who buy a OnePlus 3T smartphone on March 10 via company’s online store.

Rajesh Sikroria, President of BBDO India commenting on this said, “One Plus is a great success story of a brand built on support of its community. Our approach for this campaign was to build on what had already worked for the brand. Positive word of mouth and public choice have been the biggest differentiator for the brand and that’s what we have focused in this campaign,”
