As reports indicated, OnePlus will skip the number 4 and instead launch the flagship dubbed as One Plus 5 this year as ‘4’ is considered to be associated with bad omen in China. OnePlus previous flagship OnePlus 3T (Review) earned a ‘true flagship’ title last year with its high-end specifications, better performance under mid-range pricing. Likewise, the next-generation flagship from the company is expected to offer a substantial upgrade and carry similar pricing like its previous flagship.

Rumours earlier claimed that the OnePlus 5 will feature a dual rear camera setup, slim bezels with no physical home button, and 3000mAh battery. The phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU. The phone might run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The device is said to come with a massive 8GB of RAM and sport 5.5-inch display with 2K resolution. Rumours also suggest that the OnePlus 5 will feature a dual-edge screen and ceramic body. The smartphone is expected to be revealed in the second half this year.
