OnePlus today announced its partnership with DxO to deliver an enhanced imaging experience for its upcoming flagship OnePlus 5. DxO, a France-based software company that develops image processing software is well known for creating DXOMark, a tool that is a benchmark in camera quality testing
OnePlus taking to its official forum for the announcement said, “We’re happy to announce that we have teamed up with DxO to enhance your photography experience with our upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 5. DxO is perhaps most well-known for creating the defining photography benchmark, the DxOMark. They’ve got years of imaging experience and expertise, both for professional cameras and for smartphones.”
Since OnePlus is widely known for offering exceptional imaging quality with its flagship killer smartphones, we can expect a similar treatment with the new OnePlus 5 as well. Recently, a prototype of the new flagship surfaced on the Internet revealing dual camera setup at the back. Given the fact that OnePlus has now ‘teamed-up’ with DxO, we can be assured that OnePlus is planning something major around the camera on the OnePlus 5.
Furthermore, reports also suggest that OnePlus 5 will feature 8GB of RAM, a QHD screen and 128GB of storage. The flagship device will run Qualcomm’s next generation processor Snapdragon 835, thanks to Geekbench listing which revealed the scores. The leaked Geekbench screenshot also showed the phone to run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with OxygenOS layered on top. Rumours earlier have suggested that the new OnePlus 5 will feature slim bezels with no home button and pack a 3000mAh battery. The handset is said to sport a dual-edge screen and ceramic body. As OnePlus has already confirmed OnePlus 5 to launch this summer, we will have to wait and see what ‘big’ changes the company is planning for its new flagship device to arch its rivals.
