OnePlus is going to launch its next smartphone, the OnePlus 5T on November 16 at an event in New York. Interestingly, the device images of the OnePlus 5T have already leaked online thanks to an early unboxing photo gallery on zdnet.de. However, the website has now removed the images. In the images, it can be seen that the new OnePlus 5T looks extremely similar to the Oppo R11s with its bezel-less display and a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.
From the leaked images, we could see that the OnePlus 5T comes with a near bezel-less display, due to which the company had to place the fingerprint sensor on the rear of the device. In the retail box, we get to see the OnePlus 5T, a bigger than usual charger, and a USB Type-C charging cable.
As per the leaked specifications, the device will sport a 6-inch AMOLED full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. Interestingly due to the bezel-less display, the smartphone is similar in size to its predecessor, the OnePlus 5. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 8GB of RAM. It will come with 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be running on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with Oxygen OS on top. All of this will be backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery.
As for the camera, the smartphone will come with a dual camera setup on the back with one 16-megapixel wide angle lens and the other one a 20-megapixel telephoto lens along with a dual LED flash. On the front, we get to see a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
OnePlus will be launching the 5T globally on November 16 and will be available to purchase in India via an early access sale on November 21.
