Recently reports stated that the OnePlus 5 has gone out of stock in the US which made people speculate that the company is planning to launch the next model of its smartphone. The report also stated that the company will be launching the device in November. It is expected that the device will be named the OnePlus 5T. The company hasn’t said anything regarding this, however, this report might be true as the company did a similar thing with the OnePlus 3T which was launched in November last year just five months after the launch of the OnePlus 3.
A new report has surfaced along with a render of the alleged OnePlus 5T. As per the report by GizmoChina, the device will sport a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2160x1080p and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Currently the OnePlus 5 features a 5.5-inch 1080p display.
It seems as if every smartphone manufacturer is jumping on the full-screen display bandwagon. Apple, Samsung, LG, Xiaomi, and many others have recently introduced new smartphones with an 18:9 display aspect ratio.
The report also stated that as per the render that it had acquired through its source made the alleged OnePlus 5T look heavily inspired by the Samsung Galaxy S8. The report also said that in the image it looks like the device has curved edges, however, they weren’t able to confirm that with the source.
We recommend that you take this report with a pinch of salt as the company hasn’t yet issued any statement regarding this.
