After the OnePlus 3 took the title of ‘flagship killer’ last year, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus seems to be working hard on retaining that title for their next phone. A new report that surfaced on the e-hub provides us with the alleged specifications of the next generation flagship, the OnePlus 5.
According to the South Korean report, OnePlus is said to unveil its new flagship dubbed as OnePlus 5 by next month. Like its previous generation flagship, the alleged OnePlus 5 is speculated to carry high-end specifications which suggest that the device will pack the latest chipset Snapdragon 835.
The report claims that the supposed OnePlus 5 will feature a dual curved display a design cue similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S7 line up. The device might run on Android 7.0 Nougat and pack 8GB RAM+64GB onboard storage. Further, the report details that the OnePlus 5 might feature a 23-megapixel primary camera and 16-megapixel camera on the front. The company is also said to launch another variant with 128GB storage which could be further expanded up to 256GB. The phone is expected to be pegged with a 4000mAh battery and come with OnePlus Dash Charge support. A separate report suggest that the upcoming flagship might come with a Ceramic body as seen on Xiaomi’s Mi Mix smartphone.
As rumours and leaks are always taken with a pinch of salt, we recommend the readers to wait until the company makes an official announcement about its next generation flagship.
