OnePlus 5 since its launch has been a part of a lot of controversies. Users have faced several glitches that ruin the end-user experience. While OnePlus has acknowledged most of these bugs and fixed them, a new glitch has appeared that restarts the device whenever a user is trying to dial an emergency number. The glitch was discovered by Nick Morrelli who posted a video of it on Facebook. This news took Reddit by storm and various users have started to complain about the bug. Some users also reported that this problem is not restricted only to calling 911, the problem persists with UK’s emergency number 999 as well.
On the Reddit Android forum, it was found out by users that this problem is coming due to a fault at the point of connection between the smartphone and the emergency services.
Recently, OnePlus took out a software update fixing the poor Wi-Fi signal problem which wasn’t letting the users access the internet, even when they were connected to a working Wi-Fi network. Also, the OnePlus 5 doesn’t feature Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) while shooting 4K videos. The company has promised that they will be providing a software update soon to fix this problem.
