OnePlus is gearing up for the next flagship launch this year and leaks are dripping briskly from the faucet. Over the past few weeks several leak report have been hovering over the Chinese OEM’s next high-end smartphone and speculations cite that OnePlus could skip number 4 and launch its upcoming flagship as OnePlus 5. A fresh leak have revealed more information on the specification of the upcoming flagship.
According to Chinese site PCPop, the purported OnePlus 5 is tipped to pack 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU. The report cites that the smartphone will sport hardware navigation keys, and slim bezels compared to its predecessor. Further, the fingerprint sensor will be embedded on the rear panel of the smartphone as per the report.
The alleged OnePlus 5 will feature a 5.5-inch 2K display (1080×2048 pixels), and house a 23-megapixel module at the back and come with optical image stabilisation, and fast flash. Report also state that the flagship might likely carry a dual-rear camera setup.
Leak reports previously suggested that the alleged OnePlus 5 will sport a dual-edge screen and sport 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Besides the storage on the flagship is also tipped to be bump up to 256GB. Reports believe that OnePlus ucpoming flagship unwrapping will take place no sooner than the second half of 2017. OnePlus has not shared any details yet, but like the predecessor OnePlus 3T, the new smartphone will be able to seize the users who opt high-end device at a mid-premium price.
