OnePlus 3T, the upgraded version of the flagship killer OnePlus 3 will be launched in India on December 2nd. Vikas Agarwal the company’s Indian GM announced th launch date after the ‘Truth or Dare’ contest which was featured in its official Facebook page.
The upgraded version which has already hit the shelves in the Europe, US and UK markets on November 22nd, the new phone do make an upsurge in the processor, battery and imaging department.
The OnePlus 3T comes with a 5.5 inch full HD(1920×1080 resolution) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401ppi. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Inside the box, the phone features a 64 bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked 2.35GHz. The device is backed by a 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM paired with 64GB/128GB internal memory variant.
The phone features a 16MP rear camera with Sony IMX sensor and 1.12 µm pixel size. The OnePlus 3T has Optical image stabilization, PDAF, 4K resolution and RAW image support. The phone also has a sapphire crystal lens cover which was not available with the flagship OnePlus 3.
The front camera is packed with the same megapixel like its rear camera. The 3T sports a 16megapixel Samsung 3P8SP sensor with a pixel size of 1.0 µm and f/2.0 aperture.
The phone is beefed up with a massive battery backup. The OnePLus 3T is powered by a 3,400 mAh non-removable battery. Unlike the OnePlus 3’s 3000 mAh battery its upgrade version is expected to last longer. OnePlus has also added a Dash Charge support, which promises that the phone will survive a day with just 30 minutes of charging.
The device comes with USB 2.0, Type-C port, dual nano-SIM slot and 3.5mm headphone jack. It supports 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GLONASS.
It runs on Oxygen OS based Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but the device along with the OnePlus 3 will receive the Android Nougat update later this year as being promised by the company.
OnePlus 3T price starts at $439 in the US for the 64GB variant(Rs.29,000 approx.) and $479(around Rs.32,777) for the 128GB version, the user can expect the new smartphone to cost more than Rs.30,000 if at all the company is planning to launch both variants of the new device in India.
The former flagship smartphone OnePlus 3 which was discontinued in the Europe and US market, the company didn’t share a word on the phone’s discontinuance in India. The phone priced at Rs. 27,999 still seems to float around in the Indian smartphone market, available exclusively on Amazon India.
