The Chinese OEM yesterday had announced that its ‘best-rated smartphone’ OnePlus3T will be available for purchase on its own OnePlus store starting March 10. So far, the smartphone was available exclusively on the online e-retail site Amazon India. Now, the phone can be purchased directly from the e-store on OnePlus’s website.
The online store has listed both the 64GB and 128GB versions of the OnePlus 3T for a price of Rs. 29,999 and Rs 34,999, respectively. The 64GB variant is available in Gunmetal and Soft Gold colour options, meanwhile the 128GB model of the smartphone will be available only in Gunmetal colour. At the time of writing this story, the option to add the 128GB version of the OnePlus 3T was not available on the website.
Additionally, the company has offered a protective case worth Rs. 899 free of cost for the consumers who purchase the device from the company’s online store. The users can also opt for a one year damage protection plan for Rs 1,899 that will cover accidental damage on the smartphone. Further, OnePlus is offering complementary pick and drop service as well.
To refresh, OnePlus 3T (Review) is an upgrade variant of the company’s flagship killer OnePlus 3. The smartphone features an anodised aluminum unibody. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 system-on-chip (SoC). As for optics, it sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies, instead of an 8-megapixel sensor found in the predecessor OnePlus 3. OnePlus 3T packs a big 3600mAh battery and comes with OnePlus’ Dash Charging support. The phone has 6GB of RAM, boasts a 5.5-inch AMOLED display. The upgraded OnePlus 3T runs Oxygen-based OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
OnePlus 3T was launched in India back in December last year and went on sale in the same month itself. The Chinese smartphone maker brought its own online store in the country in October, 2016. Although OnePlus initially claimed to have no plans to sell smartphones through its online e-retail store, the company now seems to change strategy considering the popularity of its flagship model and the competition of other Chinese OEMs in the Indian smartphone market as well.
