OnePlus previous flagship killer OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T recently received the Android Oreo (8.0) update. The Chinese OEM has now released a new Android Oreo-based Open beta updates for these devices.
The Open Beta version 17 for the OnePlus 3T and Open Beta version 26 for OnePlus 3 brings several improvements and bug fixes. The latest updates also carry the September Android security update. As per usual if you have flashed an Open Beta build previously, you should get an OTA notification update soon. However, if your device is on stable OxygenOS version, you need to flash the Beta update manually.
With this update, OnePlus has brought back the user feedback application. The company further says that the update will improve both WiFi and data connectivity on these smartphones. The Open Beta update for the OnePlus 3 and the 3T also includes improved NFC performance, the stability of Picture in Picture mode. OnePlus in its official forum has noted there might be some issues like slower fingerprint actions and third-party apps optimisation.

Additionally, OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS 3.6.1 update for the OnePlus 2. The update includes general bug fixes, improvements and brings updated Android security patch level to October 2017. The OxygenOS update also adds patches for WPA2 vulnerability ‘KRACK’.
