OnePlus CEO Carl Pei has already teased a few important aspects ahead of One Plus 5 launch. The company has confirmed that its flagship will feature the next generation Snapdragon 835 SoC (system-on-chip). OnePlus has acknowledged its partnership with DXO to bring an improved camera on the new handset. Previously, OnePlus in a tweet teasing four possible colour options– black, gold, dark red and a gradient (a mix of purple and light blue), asked users which one they would choose on the next phone.
Moreover, Pete in a Weibo post indicated that its upcoming flagship will be thinner than the current flagship killer OnePlus 3T. The company wouldn’t ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in OnePlus 5 and the fingerprint sensor is said to be embedded on the front. OnePlus also teased the camera quality on the new smartphone. The company shared an image captured from OnePlus 5 in low-light and another image taken from a different smartphone.
As for rumours, OnePlus 5 is said to sport a horizontally stacked dual rear camera setup. The phone is tipped to carry a massive 8GB of RAM, feature a 5.5-inch QHD display (1140×2560 resolution), 3600mAh battery.
In a separate report, Android Police has released a supposed image of the smartphone that its says to be accurate. From the image, the device is seen featuring dual rear cameras and the back panel looks somewhat similar to iPhone 7 Plus.
The image reveals a black variant of the alleged OnePlus 5 with dual camera setup, LED flash, OnePlus logo on the back panel. While earlier leaked images showed fine antenna lines running on top and bottom of the device, the new image rather shows off a plain back panel. The power button and volume rockers are seen located on the left side of the device. The reveal of the OnePlus 5 is inching closer, but only question remains to be seen if this leak is legit.
