Nubia today launched its flagship smartphone, the Nubia Z17S in China. It is the successor to the Nubia Z17 which was launched back in June this year. The Z17S is eventually expected to launch in other markets. The device will be available to pre-order in China from today and will go on sale from October 19. It is priced at 2,999 Yuan (Approximately Rs. 29,610) for the 6GB RAM variant and 3,999 Yuan (Approximately Rs. 39,510) for the 8GB RAM variant.
As for the specifications, the Nubia Z17S sports a 5.73-inch FHD+ full-screen display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with the Adreno 540 GPU. The device comes in two RAM variants – 6GB RAM/64GB internal storage and 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage. The device runs on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with the company’s own Nubia UI 5.1 skin on top. All of this is backed by a 3,100mAh battery.
As for the camera, the smartphone comes with dual camera setup on both the front and back. On the rear, it features a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor paired with a 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 sensor along with a dual tone LED flash. On the front, it features a 5-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.2.
Additionally, the company claims that the 26W fast charger provided with the device can charge it up to 50 percent in 25 minutes. They also claim that the device can unlock in 0.1 seconds with help of the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Nubia Z17S is currently being offered in two colour variants – Black and Blue.
