Nubia at an event in china launched the new Z17 mini wit dual-rear camera. The event teasers were out from quite some time and only Z17 mini was expected. Earlier the smartphone was spotted on Chinese certification website TENAA.
The design of Nubia Z17 mini is very similar to Nubia’s Z11 mini (Read our review), but it features a dual 13-megapixel + 13-megapixel rear camera setup with one RGB and one monochrome Sony IMX258 lens, just like the recently launched Honor 8 Pro. The front facing selfie camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with 80-degree wide-angle lens.
The Z17 mini features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a 2.5D Curved Glass protection. Inside, the handset gets an octa-core Snapdragon 652 with 4GB RAM for one variant, while the other variant packs Snapdragon 653 processor with 6GB of RAM. Internal storage on both variants is 64GB with additional microSD expandability option of up to 200GB.
Just like the Z11 mini, it also features dual hybrid SIM slot (Nano + Nano/microSD) and supports 4G VoLTE. The phone runs dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Nubia UI 4.0. The handset is backed by 2950mAh battery with support for fast charging. Apart from standard connectivity options the Z17 mini also gets NFC and USB Type-C.
The Nubia Z17 mini will go on sale in China from April 13. The 4GB RAM variant with Snapdragon 652 is priced at CNY 1,699 and the 6GB RAM variant with Snapdragon 653 is priced at CNY 1,999 in China.
