ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia late in June this year brought its budget smartphone from the M series, the Nubia M2 Play. The handset recently made its way to India carrying a price tag of Rs. 8,999. The affordable Nubia M2 Play will go on sale today exclusively on Amazon India at 12 PM.
Talking about the specifications, the new Nubia M2 Play is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal Storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat with company’s own nubiaUI 5.0 skin layered on top.
The Nubia M2 Play sports a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 resolution) LCD display and has a pixel density of 274ppi. As for the camera, it features a 13-megapixel Sony CMOS rear sensor with a f/2.2 aperture, along with hybrid autofocus and Nubia’s proprietary NeoVision 6.0. The front features a 5-megapixel senor with f/2.4, 84-degree wide-angle lens. The front camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps. All of this is backed by an industry standard 3,000mAh battery. The phone also equips NEo Power 2.5 technology that helps in battery optimisation.
Design-wise, the phone has a metal body with double diamond edge cut frame. The power button and microSD/SIM tray is located on the right edge and the volume keys are on the left side of the device. At the base, the phone carries mono speakers arranged symmetrically on either side with microUSB port at the centre. At the top, there’s the 3.5mm headphone jack and the fingerprint sensor is integrated on the home button.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, and GLONASS. The Nubia M2 Play comes in two colour options- Black and Gold.
