Google Tez has made it a lot easier to pay water, electricity, DTH and mobile bills without incurring any additional charges. The app now supports over 80 billers, letting users pay electricity bills to both national and state service providers, in addition to bare essentials like gas, water, DTH, mobile postpaid bills and prepaid recharges.
To name a few, some of the major utilities like Reliance Energy, BSES and DishTV now accept payments made over Google Tez. This has been rolled out across all Indian states and major metro cities.

Interestingly enough, Google Tez pushes a timely notification, reminding users of their recurring bill payments. It lets users check whether they have paid a bill by simply tapping the biller’s name on the app’s home screen. What’s more, users are also allowed to view all past payments grouped by bill. They can also manage bills from their multiple accounts.
Google Tez shows different billers depending on the city and region but users can always also search for them by name. Once users have located their biller, all they need to do is enter the number associated with their account to link it to Google Tez. Once this is done, the app does the job fetching any available bills on its own. It offers a scratch card up to Rs 1000 for every new biller users pay for the month.
For those who have no idea, Google Tez, at the core, makes it possible for users to send or receive money over Unified Payments Interface (UPI), something Facebook-owned WhatsApp is also beta testing lately.
