Nokia marked its return in the smartphone industry last month by unveiling its two new smartphones Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 at MWC 2017. The company also introduced a refreshed version of the classic Nokia 3310. But just like LG and Huawei, many expected Nokia to announce a flagship smartphone alongside its newly released budget-smartphones at the launch event.
A new rumour, however, has suggested that the Finnish smartphone maker is planning to release its flagship smartphone with two different screen sizes in June this year.
The rumour that has come from the Chinese website MyDrivers claims that the new Nokia-branded flagship smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipsets. The smartphones are said come with two RAM options- 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM. These flagship devices are expected to come with ‘at least’ 23-meagpixels on the primary camera sensor. The report also suggests that the phones will sport a metal unibody design and at least one of the variant is tipped to feature a dual rear camera setup.
As for the pricing, the small-screen size model is expected to cost CNY 4000 (around Rs. 38,600), while the large-screen size variant is said to come with a price tag of CNY 4,500 (roughly Rs. 43,500).
If Nokia supposedly brings the flagship smartphone, it could be the widely rumoured Nokia ‘P1’ or Nokia 8 whose leaks and rumours have been circling up on the internet quite from sometime. As per the leaks, the alleged Nokia P1 is tipped to feature a 5.3-inch display with a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone is expected to come with 6GB of RAM with 128GB and 256GB internal storage variant. Rumours have also suggested that the device will sport a 22.6-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss lens. The alleged P1 is said to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the company’s Z-launcher.
