Nokia’s parent company, HMD Global is said to be working on two new Nokia branded handsets- a high-end smartphone and an entry level offering which is expected to be cheaper than the Nokia 3. While rumours about these supposed Nokia devices are rife, new reports have now shed in light on the design details of these smartphones.
A leaked image which was posted on Chinese micro-blogging site Baidu reveals the supposed Nokia 2 and Nokia 9 in all its glory. The image shows off the back side of the two devices with one sporting a dual camera setup. Talking about the purported Nokia 9, from the image we can see a vertically stacked dual rear camera array with an LED flash module placed in the centre. The fingerprint sensor is sitting beneath the dual rear camera along with the Nokia logo placed right below it. The image also reveals a 3D glass back design indicating that the handset might come with Wireless Charging technology. The power button and volume keys could be seen located on the right edge.
As far as the specifications goes, the supposed flagship Nokia 9 is said to feature an OLED panel with either 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch screen size having QHD resolution. The phone is expected to run Google’s new Android OS, Android 8.0 Oreo. At the heart, it is tipped to carry Snapdragon 835 SoC accompanied by either 6GB/8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. The supposed Nokia 9 is widely expected to incorporate Carl Zeiss dual camera lens. The phone is tipped to pack an industry standard 3000mAh battery.
Coming to the Nokia 2, the image seems pretty much in line to what leaks have revealed in the past. The image shows the handset featuring a single camera on the rear side with LED flash support. The Nokia brand could be seen carved in the centre volume rockers and power on the right edge of the device.
Evidently, notable mobile tipster Evan Blass last week posted an image of a smartphone with the caption “Nokia 2”. The image revealed the front and back side of the supposed Nokia 2 in two distinct colours. A complete specification sheet of the device also surfaced online suggesting that it could pack a large 4000mAh battery. As per the listing, the Nokia 2 might sport a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. It could be powered by a Snapdragon 212 SoC paired with 1GB of RAM. The phone is also tipped to arrive in four variants with model number- TA-1023, TA-1035, TA-1007 and TA-1029. The unit with model numbers TA-1023 and TA-1007 are expected to come with single SIM support, while the TA-1035 and TA-1029 are said to come with dual-SIM support. The supposed Nokia 2 could have an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera in its imaging category.
