HMD Global the parent company of Nokia has started to send invites in the U.K. for the launch of a new Android smartphone on August 16. It has been reported by the Verge that the company’s most-awaited flagship, the Nokia 8 will be launching at the London event. And if the reports are to be believed the smartphone will come featuring a dual camera setup at the back with Carl Zeiss lenses. However, details are still hazy on if the company will be releasing the Nokia 8 or not, and we advise that you take this news with a pinch of salt. The company could simply go ahead and launch some other mobile device.
Previously, reports had said that the alleged Nokia 8 will be running on Google’s stock Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. It will sport a 5.3-inch QuadHD display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC. It is also rumoured to come with 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of Internal Storage. There also have been rumours regarding 6GB and 8GB RAM variants which might launch at a later date.
As for the camera, the Nokia 8 is said to sport a dual camera setup at the rear with two 13-megapixel sensors along with Carl Zeiss lenses. And Nokia will have a 13-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The Nokia 8 will measure 151.55×73.7mm.
Recently, the Copper Gold colour version of the alleged Nokia 8 was leaked. Before the copper gold variant, the Blue and Silver colour variants of the smartphone were also leaked. As per reports, the phone is expected to be priced around EUR 589 (approx. Rs. 43,400).
