Nokia’s mid-range smartphone, the Nokia 6 is up for flash sale on e-retail site Amazon India today starting 12 PM. HMD Global, the parent company for Nokia introduced the Android-powered smartphone late in February this year at its pre-MWC (Mobile World Congress) event.
Available exclusively on Amazon India, the Nokia 6 will be up for purchase only to those eligible consumers who have registered for the handset on or before August 28. The e-retailer on its site further noted that customers who have already registered for the sale on August 23 or August 30 will not need to register again for the next sale on September 6. The affordable Nokia-branded smartphone first went on sale in India on August 23, and Amazon India claimed to have over 1.2 million registrations ahead of the smartphone’s first sale.
Notably the Nokia 6, along with the Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 made its way to India in June this year. The smartphone bundles a few lucrative launch offers listed on Amazon India. The e-commerce giant id offering Rs. 1,000 Amazon Pay balance for Amazon Prime members. The Nokia 6 customers who sign in to the Kindle app will get 80 percent off Kindle ebooks up to Rs. 300. In addition, there is a Rs. 2,500 discount on MakeMyTrip (Rs. 1,800 on hotels and Rs. 700 on flights) and 45GB of free data from Vodafone for 5 months.
The Nokia 6 (Review) is priced in India at Rs. 14,999. Specifications wise, the Nokia 6 sports 5.5-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) display featuring Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. The device carries 32GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card and 3,000mAh battery. In terms of photography, it houses a 16-megapixel rear shooter and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. The phone supports 4G VoLTE and is available in three colour options- Matte Black, Silver and Tempered Blue.
