HMD Global, the parent company for Nokia unveiled Nokia’s Android-powered smartphones at MWC in Barcelona this year. The revamped classic Nokia 3310 had already made its way to India a few weeks ago, however, the other three Nokia smartphones, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are yet to be made available for purchase in the country. While the company had said it plans to release these smartphones by the end of second quarter this year, it has now finally confirmed that the phones will be released in June. Nokia took to its official Nokia Mobile account to confirm the release date.
“We plan to release our upcoming Smartphones worldwide before the end of Q2 2017. (June) Stay tuned for updates,” Nokia responded in a tweet. The tweet doesn’t specify which market the new Nokia smartphones will hit the shelves. But given the “worldwide release” the smartphones are expected to launch in India along with other global markets.
