HMD Global, the parent company for Nokia unveiled Nokia’s Android-powered smartphones at MWC in Barcelona this year. The revamped classic Nokia 3310 had already made its way to India a few weeks ago, however, the other three Nokia smartphones, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are yet to be made available for purchase in the country. While the company had said it plans to release these smartphones by the end of second quarter this year, it has now finally confirmed that the phones will be released in June. Nokia took to its official Nokia Mobile account to confirm the release date.

“We plan to release our upcoming Smartphones worldwide before the end of Q2 2017. (June) Stay tuned for updates,” Nokia responded in a tweet. The tweet doesn’t specify which market the new Nokia smartphones will hit the shelves. But given the “worldwide release” the smartphones are expected to launch in India along with other global markets.

To recall, the Nokia 6 was the Finnish smartphone maker’s comeback experiment in China that features a 5.5-inch display and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The company announced a European price point of 229 Euros for the standard variant and 299 Euros for the Arte Black Limited Edition. The latter is a high-gloss Piano Black edition, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Nokia 5, a smaller version of the Nokia 6, sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display. On the inside, the Nokia 5 also packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. For imaging, the Nokia 5 packs in a 13MP main camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, and a 3000mAh battery unit. The Nokia 5 will be available in 4 colours, copper, black, silver and blue. Nokia announced a price tag of 189 Euros for this device. Like the Nokia 6, the Nokia 5 has also been carved out of Series 6000 aluminium.

The smallest of these three touchscreen smartphone devices is the Nokia 3, the most affordable of the lot with a price tag of 129 Euros (approximately Rs 9,500). This budget device from Nokia comes with a MediaTek 6737 processor and 2GB of RAM, and a 5-inch display that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. While the other two phones come with a full metal construction, the Nokia 5 comes with a polycarbonate body, albeit with an aluminium frame around it. The Nokia 3 offers an 8-megapixel camera on the front, and an 8MP camera on the front as well.
