Earlier this year, Nokia’s classic feature phone, the Nokia 3310 made a comeback in the mobile industry. Nokia 3310 came to India even before Nokia 6,5 & 3 Android smartphones, and while the company may have tried to venture on the nostalgia value of the phone, many users may have felt the need of a slight upgrade to match at least tidbit of the smartphone era. The re-designed Nokia 3310 relied on 2G networks but while telecom operators in select countries like Australia, Singapore no longer provide 2G network service, its usage may also have been reduced. However, HMD Global has finally introduced a new variant of the Nokia 3310 with 3G connectivity.

“Our re-imagining of the Nokia 3310 has been a global and cultural phenomenon. In a world dominated by smartphones, the mix of nostalgia and a beautiful phone that just keeps going has captured people’s imagination. Our fans around the world have been asking for this iconic phone to support 3G. Fans asked, we listened, and today welcome the Nokia 3310 3G,”

Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global said in a press statement.
