Nokia has been tight lipped when it comes to the alleged Nokia 2 which might be their upcoming budget offering. However, the device can’t stay out of leaks and reports. Previously the device showed up in an FCC listing which means it has already been approved by them. Today, the popular Twitter leakster Evan Blass tweeted out official renders of the alleged device. In the leaked renders we can see two colour variants of the device – Black and White. The Nokia 2 looks similar to the other Android smartphones by Nokia in design. However, we do notice two major design changes that the company has decided to make.

The first major design change is that the company has moved the capacitive buttons from off-screen to on-screen. Secondly, it seems as if the company has added a notification light on the rear of the device. We also know due to the FCC listing that the alleged Nokia 2 will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery. As per previous reports, we also know that the device will feature a 5-inch 720p HD display. It will come with 1GB of RAM and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC.
As for the software, it is being expected that the company will either come out of the box with Google’s Android 8.0 Oreo or will come with Android Nougat and then be updated to Android Oreo.
As of now, we don’t have any details regarding when will Nokia launch the alleged smartphone. We also don’t know how much will the company price it for. However, it is expected that the device will be much cheaper than the Nokia 3.
