A mysterious Nokia handset bearing the model number TA-1035 is reportedly found listed on Bluetooth SIG certification website. The listing suggests that the device could be named Nokia 2. The listing implies that it could feature multiple variants, featuring support for 4G and Bluetooth 4.2. Previously, the device was spotted on the US FCC website alongside details like a 4,000mAh battery.
As per previous reports, the Nokia 2 is expected with a 5-inch 720p HD display. It is said to be powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It is also said to run on Google’s Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. Earlier a few leaked images also showcased the device in two colour options – black and white.
HMD Global, meanwhile, is hosting a press event in India on October 31 where it’s expected to launch this smartphone. The company may also launch the Nokia 7. It is being speculated that Nokia 2 will come with a competitive price tag and is likely to compete with brands such as Xiaomi, Lenovo and others. A US-based retailer listed the smartphone on their website for $99 (Approximately Rs. 6,500).
