After a month of its global launch, HMD Global’s latest budget smartphone Nokia 2 has arrived in India. Nokia 2 price in India is Rs 6,999 and the sale starts Friday, November 24. The handset will be available in three colour options – Pewter Black, Pewter White and Copper Black. Nokia 2 is built out of a single block of 6000 series aluminium, giving it a premium look.

The highlight of the handset is its big 4100mAh battery, which is claimed to offer 2-day battery life. The handset features a 5-inch HD (1,280 x 720 pixels) IPS LTPS display resulting in 294 ppi pixel density. Internally, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 304 GPU for graphics. Since Nokia 2 runs on Android Nougat, it is one of the affordable phones out there to carry Google Assistant.

As for photography, the device packs an 8-megapixel unit at the back and a 5-megapixel camera sensor for selfies and video calls. It houses 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB by means of microSD. The Nokia 2 measures 143.5 x 71.3 x 9.30 mm in dimensions. As for connectivity, the dual-SIM handset supports 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0, and 3.5mm audio jack.

HMD Global has bundled a few launch offers with new Nokia 2. For those who purchase the handset, they will get 45GB additional 4G data on Reliance Jio network on every recharge of Rs. 309 or above until August, 2018. There is a 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance offered by Servify which can be availed by opening a Kotak 811 Savings account. Users will have to activate it with an initial deposit of Rs. 1000 in the introductory period.
