Finnish handset maker HMD Global today announced Nokia 2 bearing the model number TA-1035 at a press event in Gurugram, India. The key highlight of Nokia 2 has to be a 4,100mAh battery. As a result, HMD claims the device to offer 2-day battery life. Nokia 2 price 99 euros (approximately Rs 7,500). The sale starts sometime in November.
Design-wise, Nokia 2 boasts of build material 6,000 series aluminum for a premium-looking metal body that’s similar to Nokia 8 flagship smartphone. Premium design, similar to Nokia 8, 6000-grade aluminum. The handset features a 5-inch HD (1,280 x 720 pixels) IPS LTPS display resulting in 294 ppi pixel density.
Internally, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 304 GPU for graphics. Since Nokia 2 runs on Android Nougat, making it the cheapest phone to carry Google Assistant. During the launch, HMD also promised to roll out Android Oreo in the coming weeks or perhaps months.

In terms of optics, Nokia to houses a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Nokia 8 packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB by means of microSD. It comes in multiple colour options: Copper Black, Pewter Black and White.
Nokia 2 measures 143.5 x 71.3 x 9.30 mm in dimensions. As for connectivity, the dual-SIM handset supports 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0, and 3.5mm audio jack.
