Mobile World Congress commences on the 27th of February, however, all the exciting stuff is happening one to two days prior to the big event. We expect a lot of exciting announcements and demos to be shown off at MWC this year, but the real limelight shine on the big Android phone companies. We’re talking about the like of LG and Samsung, and of course, Nokia. There’s a lot going on over the next few days and in case you’re interested in keeping up with the events, we compiled a list of main events, the time they take place and where you can watch their livestream, in case there is one to begin with. This list is in chronological order, for convenience.


When: 25th February 2017, 11:30 pm IST
What we expect: Announcement of Blackberry Mercury, the last phone to be designed by the once loved Canadian company.

When: 26th February 2017, 4:30 pm IST
What We Expect: At this point, we know LG will be announcing the G6. A lot has been leaked about the phone in terms of specs and features, however, we do hope that LG has kept a few features of the phone secret, besides launch date and price of course.

When: 26th February 2017, 6:30 pm IST
What We Expect: Today, details about the alleged Huawei P10 were leaked online. Other than that, we’re expecting the announcement of the Huawei Watch 2.
Where to watch: Huawei hasn’t announced any plans of a Livestream yet, but if they do have one, it would be on their official YouTube channel



When: 26th February 2017, 9pm IST
What we Expect: The Moto G5 and G5 Plus have been leaked extensively not just by inside sources, but even by a Bogota based electronics retailer who ended up making the posting for the phones live prematurely. There’s little that’s not known, except for when it would be available in India and for how much.
Where to watch: If Motorola does a Livestream you’d be able to see it on their YouTube channel.

Nokia/HMD Global

When: 26th February 2017, 9pm IST
What We Expect: Besides, the return of the Giant, we’re hoping to see Nokia unleash a portfolio of devices across various price and performance brackets. There’s a lot of excitement around the alleged news of Nokia bringing back the legendary Nokia 3310, but given that the announcement is just a few days away, let us just wait and see what all they have to announce. Unfortunately, the Nokia announcement clashes with Motorola’s scheduled event.

What We Expect: Samsung already teased the Tab S3 in their invite to the media for the event.Samsung has also said that they will be teasing the Samsung Galaxy S8 at the event as well.
