As we’d anticipated, Lenovo-owned Motorola has sent out official media invite for the Moto G5 Plus India launch. Yesterday, the company at MWC launched Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus and announced that the smartphones will hit different markets gloablly starting March.
Today, the company has officially sent out invites for March 15th, where according to the invite it will launch the Moto G5 Plus, however there is nothing mentioned about the Moto G5.
To refresh what happened yesterday. Lenovo in Barcelona unvelied the next generation of Moto G series of smartphones – Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus – along with new Moto Mods and Moto Gaming pad.
The smaller G5 gets a removable back panel, although it is metal, whereas the G5 Plus has a metal unibody with a 3000mAh non-removable battery. Both Moto smartphones are splash-proof like the last year’s Moto G4 and G4 Plus. The Moto G5 features a 5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla glass 3. It is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB/ 3GB RAM and 16GB/ 32GB internal storage. It also features the microSD card expansion up to 128GB.
The Moto G5 Plus a slightly bigger 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla glass 3. The G5 Plus doesn’t have Snapdragon 430 SoC, but instead boasts of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625, which is also an octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 2GHz. It comes in various storage and RAM variants that include – 2GB/ 3GB/ 4GB RAM and 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB internal storage. Both phones have fingerprint sensors below the display.
