Motorola has already launched the Moto Z2 Play earlier this month, but it has held out on the Moto Z2 and the highly rumoured Moto Z2 Force. And, one of these devices has been spotted at Geekbench’s database a benchmarking software.
This entry in the database shows that a prototype or a beta edition smartphone has been tested out through that benchmarking software. Thus, leading to the specifications of the smartphone being leaked. The Geekbench entry was first spotted and reported by GSMArena.
The leak shows that the new smartphone from Motorola will be coming with 4GB of RAM, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC. The phone will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which is very likely to get an Android O update.

Unfortunately, there are no indications regarding when Motorola will be bringing this smartphone to the market. Though, the Indian launch of the Motorola Moto Z2 Play has been set for today itself.
The Moto Z2 Play had launched in the US for $499 (Roughly Rs. 32,000) with three new moto mods which show the commitment that Motorola has towards the modular smartphone community. And it is expected that we will be seeing the Moto Z2 in the market very soon.
