Lenovo-owned Motorola is all set to launch Moto Z2 Force in India next week. The company has already sent out formal invites to a launch event scheduled for 15th February 2018 (at 12 noon) in the country. Folks at Moto will also host a launch event live on YouTube for those interested in watching the phone launch in real time.

If you recall, Moto Z2 Force was announced at their #hellomotoworld event in New York last year in July. The main attraction of Moto Z2 Force has to be its shatterproof display. In US, it comes with a screen warranty in the event of cracking or shattering of display for 4 years. We are expecting the same here in India as well.

Specs-wise, Moto Z2 Force sports a 5.5-inch QHD screen (2560 x 1440 pixels) with 534 ppi pixel density. It’s powered by Qualcomm flagship Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB RAM, and Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. It offers 64GB storage which can be expanded further using microSD card. The phone comes in single and dual SIM variants depending on the market and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

In terms of photography, Moto Z2 Force houses a dual rear camera with two 12-megapixel monochrome and RGB lenses. The camera supports dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, Laser Autofocus and 4K video recording. Up front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with dual-tone LED flash. On the front, there’s also a fingerprint scanner which is embedded in an oval-shaped home button.

Moto Z2 Force has water repellent nano-coating, 2730mAh battery with Turbo Charging and NFC for secure payments. Design-wise, it flaunts a metal unibody that’s 6.1mm slim and weighs 143g. It also comes with Moto Mods pins for swappable accessories. In addition to the standard set of connectivity options, the device offers 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2.

The company is also expected to bundle Moto TurboPower Pack Mod with no additional cost. It has a 3500mAh battery and fast charging support.
