In what could be a good news for all those waiting Moto fans in India, Lenovo-owned Motorola has rescheduled Moto X4 India launch for November 13. It was initially scheduled to launch in India on October 3, but later got canceled for some reasons. The company did not reveal why it had to postpone Moto X4 India launch. We got in touch with Moto regarding the same, but haven’t received any response so far.
Moto X4 initially arrived at IFA 2017 tradeshow in Berlin, Germany. One of the key highlights of the handset has to be its 12MP+8MP dual camera. In Europe, it comes pre-installed with Amazon Alexa digital assistant. Previously, the company announced Moto X4 Android One edition in the U.S., which is exclusive to Google Project Fi wireless service.
Moto X4 Android One edition comes without some brand-centric features like Moto Voice, Moto Access, attentive display, one-button nav options, or Amazon Alexa voice assistant. In spite of all that, it remains to be seen whether it will launch as Android One edition in India as well.
Specs-wise, Moto X4 has 1,920 x 1,080 pixels stretched across a 5.2-inch panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Powering the handset is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 630 14nm mobile platform clocked at 2.2GHz. It’s available in the US and Europe with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.
Moto X4 runs Android 7.1 Nougat and comes with an expandable memory of up to 2TB via microSD card. The handset has IP68 certification and boasts a metal and glass design with a 3D contoured back. It packs a 3,000mAh battery under the hood, which is claimed to provide up to six hours of juice within merely within 15 minutes of charging.
Update 11/08/2017 01:50 PM
Motorola has now confirmed that Moto X4 will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart on the launch day itself. Flipkart, on the other hand, has also released Moto X4 teaser on its website.
