Motorola’s mid-range dual camera smartphone, the Moto G5S Plus that was unveiled earlier this month is now heading to the Indian smartphone market. The handset will be Amazon India exclusive and it is believed to carry nearly comparable price as tagged in the European market. The Moto G5S Plus was introduced for a price starting at Euros 299 which is around Rs. 22,666 after conversion.
Motorola India will livestream the Moto G5S Plus launch event through their official YouTube channel and Amazon India as well. The event will be livestreaming at 12.15 PM IST.
Specifications wise, the Moto G5S Plus features a 5.5-inch full HD (19820×1080 resolution) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and pixel density of 401ppi. At the heart, the device has an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone offers two RAM/storage options- 3GB RAM/32GB native storage and 4G RAM/64GB internal storage. The storage on the phone can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The dual-SIM Moto G5S Plus runs a near-stock UI based Android 7.1 Nougat.
In terms of design, the handset follows similar design language to the Moto G5 Plus that was introduced earlier this year. The Moto G5S Plus boasts a metal unibody design with circular dual rear camera module and curved edges. The phone carries an oval-shaped front-mounted fingerprint sensor. The antenna lines run at the top and bottom of the back panel.
As for the optics, the phone sports dual rear camera with two 13-megapixel sensor having f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. At the front, it bears an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash for better selfies in low light and f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle lens. The Moto G5S Plus packs a 3000mAh battery and comes with a Turbo charging support. The device feature water repellent nano coating and loudspeaker is drilled at the base. Connectivity options on the phone include- 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and Micro-USB port.
