Lenovo owned Motorola has launched the Moto G5s & the G5s Plus in India on Tuesday at a launch event held in New Delhi. The Moto G5s and the G5s Plus have been extensively leaked till they were officially announced globally on 2 August, and now, the smartphones have made their way to India. The Moto G5s Plus is the first Motorola smartphone with a dual-camera setup to come to India, although Moto is expected to launch more dual-camera smartphones in the near future.

Sudhin Mathur, Managing director of Motorola India said during the event that the company witnessed 300% growth in the $200-$300 YoY Q1 ’17 over Q1 ’16.

Moto G5s Plus Specifications & Features
Coming back to the start of the hour, the Moto G5s Plus sports a 5.5-inch (1080p) Full HD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and 401 ppi pixel density. It runs on a Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and an Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. The smartphone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can be expanded to 128GB via a microSD card slot. The dual-SIM (hybrid) Moto G5S runs a near-stock UI on top of Android 7.1 Nougat. It features a 13-megapixel + 13-megapixel dual rear camera with RGB and Monochrome sensors in addition to a dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with flash and f/2.0 aperture. The Moto G5s Plus comes with a water repellent nano-coating, but Motorola is very clear that this is not to be confused with the kind of water resistance offered by devices that carry an IPX rating.

The Moto G5s sports a 5.2-inch (1080p) Full HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 424 ppi pixel density. Inside is a Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. It offers 32GB of on board storage, which is expandable thanks to microSD support. The dual-SIM phone runs a near-stock UI on top of Android 7.1 Nougat. It houses a 16-megapixel primary rear shooter with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and 1080p video recording. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with flash and f/2.0 aperture.

Moto G5S & G5S Plus Price, Availability and launch offers
The G5s has been priced at Rs 13,999 while the Moto G5s Plus will come with a price tag of Rs 15,999. The smartphones are slated to go on sale tonight at 11:59PM and will be made exclusively through Amazon. The Moto G5s Plus comes in two colours: Lunar Grey and Blush Gold. There are a number of offers available at launch on both devices: Those who are buying the G5s Plus at launch can avail extra Rs 1,00 off on exchanging your old phone.
