Earlier this month, the Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its new smartphone Moto G5 Plus from the G series in India. The company now seems to gear up for the next smartphone launch in the country. Motorola has put out a teaser on its official India twitter handle, hinting that the Moto G5 is coming soon in India. The company, however has not unveiled the exact date of the launch.
Apart from the Moto G5 name inscribed on it, the video clip shared on Moto India Twitter account doesn’t reveal much of a detail. “Always reading ‘10 things to nothing’ articles on your phone? Just not #EntertainedEnough? Get ready to do better with #motog5. Coming soon!” the tweet reads.

To refresh, the Moto G5 along with its bigger variant Moto G5 Plus were officially introduced at the Mobile World Congress late February this year. The Plus variant is launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 14,999 for the 3GB RAM+16GB storage model, while the 4GB RAM+32GB storage version retails at Rs. 16,999.
Talking about the specification of the Moto G5, the smartphone features a 5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU. The handset comes with 2GB of RAM along with 16GB/32GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The Moto G5 runs Android7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
As for the optics, the Moto G5 sports a 13-megapixel with aperture f/2.0, 1.1-micron pixels and PDAF, while on the front, it gets a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The device is backed by a 2800mAh battery and comes with Rapid charging support. The dual-SIM Moto G5 supports 4G LTE and include- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and micro-USB port in its connectivity option. The device measures 144.3 x 73 x 9.5 mm and weighs 144.5 grams.
