Motorola has launched its new smartphone from the G series, Moto G5 Plus in India today at a starting price of Rs. 14,999. The Flipkart exclusive smartphone will be available for purchase on the online e-commerce store from Wednesday, 11:59pm onwards. The e-retail site is giving ‘exciting launch day offers’ that include an additional Rs.1,500 off on exchange, additional 10 percent discount on SBI cards; no-cost EMIs starting at Rs. 1,889 a month, and the Moto Pulse 2 headset at a price of just Rs. 599.

Moto G5 Plus was officially introduced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona alongside the base model Moto G5 last month. The highlight of the new smartphone is its all metal design. The Moto G5 Plus also comes with Google’s voice assistant.

Talking about its specifications, the Moto G5 Plus features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. On the software front, the Moto G5 Plus runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The phone is available in India in two RAM options- 3GB/4GB paired with 16GB/32GB inbuilt storage. It has a dedicated microSD sim slot as well which is further expandable up to 128GB. This is a dual-SIM smartphone that supports nano-SIM.

As for the optics, the Moto G5 Plus sports a 12-megapixel protruded module on the back panel with Dual Pixel AF, dual-LED flash, and f/1.7 aperture. It is capable of recording 4K videos and comes with Pro mode as well. On the front, the phone features a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

The Moto G5 Plus supports 4G VoLTE and include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB in its connectivity option. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope. The Moto G5 Plus house a 3000mAh non-removable battery with TurboPower charging support. It is available in two colour options-Lunar Grey and Fine Gold. The 3GB RAM variant comes for a price of Rs. 14,999 while the 4GB RAM version is tagged for a price of Rs. 16,999.
